Title Records
Creator Warren County, Kentucky County Court
Description This collection consists of the extant marriage bonds for Warren County, Kentucky, 1797-1939. They were rescued from destruction in the late-1950s. Subsequently, this collection does not represent all of the marriage records ever produced in Warren County during that period. The bulk of the collection runs from 1797 to 1909; few records remain after 1909. Photocopied marriage licenses from 1983 and 1984 were added to the collection in 2009. Some Warren County marriage records that were captured on microfilm have not survived. Following is a complete list of the Warren County marriage bonds in paper form housed at the Kentucky Library & Museum. The bonds are first organized chronologically by year, then alphabetically by groom's name. If you do not know the exact year of marriage, you can use the "find" function located under the "edit" button on your computer. Because the groom's names are inverted, we suggest you limit your search term to the surname only. This will also be the best strategy if you are looking for the bride's maiden name.
