Admin / Biog History Jesse Johnson, a native of St. Louis, Missouri, arrived in Bowling Green in August 1923 to head the Athletics Department, coach football and teach history at Ogden College. He held this position until May of 1927. Johnson obtained his BS from Missouri State Teachers College in 1922. In 1929 he received his MS from George Peabody writing his thesis "History of Ogden College." Johnson obtained a position at the New Mexico School of Mines after leaving Ogden. He later worked at Central Connecticut State College.
