Sideboard - Sideboard

American late Classical or late Empire sideboard has a rectangular marble top over two ogee molded drawer fronts, S-scroll stiles, two paneled cupboard doors separated by a recessed arched panel, C-scroll front feet, and square tapering back feet. The door panels have been surfaced with crotch figure mahogany veneer, and its divided interior includes two shelves and a four bottle liquor rack. This furniture style is sometimes also labeled Pillar and Scroll. It reportedly was first owned by Kentucky's 11th governor, J. T. Morehead, and later by John B. Dryden, editor of the "Frankfort Call and Roundabout."

Combination bookcase, writing desk and cabinet constructed with Sheraton and Gothic Revival design elements that include reeded columns, and turned and reeded legs, and Gothic arch-paneled doors. The primary woods are cherry and mahogany veneer, and this piece also has a cavetto molded cornice, beveled glass panes in the bookcase doors, a fold down writing surface, tambour desk doors, and beaded door and drawer fronts.

Chippendale tea table made in the Philadelphia style. Mahogany table is made with a top that tilts up, a scalloped or pie crust edge, and a bird cage movement on the underside that allows the top to rotate. The table also has a ring and fluted columnar-turned pedestal with foliate compressed ball above a foliate-carved collar over a tripartite base on cabriole legs. There are acanthus leaf carvings on the knees of the legs which terminate in ball and claw feet.

Walnut corner cupboard whose features include a molded cornice, double paneled upper and single paneled lower cupboard doors, a shaped apron or skirt, and bracket feet. The center board of the nine-board back extends to form the rear foot, and the interior of the cupboard is divided with two shelves in the upper half and one shelf in the lower section. The keyhole escutcheon in the upper right cupboard door is missing. The piece was later modified by the addition of brass hooks.
