Description A large Sèvres style circular plaque depicting Louis XVI and his wives and mistresses.
The large circular plaque, with central roundel depicting Louis XVI after a portrait by Antoine-François Callet, detailed with gilt scrollwork extending to further eight circular reserves depicting portraits of Marie Antoinette, The Marquise de Fontange, Princess de Lambelle, Madame de Montesson, Madame Elisabeth, The Marquise de Maintenon, Ninon de Lenclos and Louise de la Vallière, all surrounded by a burnished gilt circular borders, with titled pennants below, reserved against a bleu celeste ground, set within a plush velvet mount; 50.5cm diam, pseudo Sèvres mark and titles to verso.
