She writes in 1860 of treatment for an injured foot and an offer of marriage; reacts to Mary's marriage to a Mr. Keating, notes the anniversary of her brother John's death, and reports on her brother Lytle's Civil War service in 1863; and writes of her own marriage and forthcoming move to New Orleans in 1865.
