Several items of interest regarding the Potter family are housed in the scrapbook, including an article from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch entitled "'They've forgotten me' says 'Uncle Dan' Potter in explaining why he has lived to 104 years" and newsclippings regarding a Potter family reunion in 1894. Also included is a copy February 25, 1923 issue of the First Baptist Church, Bowling Green, publication The Silver Trumpet which memorializes Jerome Whitfield Potter, 1851-1923. Also contains a postcard of the parlor in the J. Whitt Potter Hall of Western Kentucky State Normal School. NOTE: The father and New York bankers' names are quite similar.
