Image of Benjamin F. and Lila Pendleton Proctor. Benjamin Franklin Procter (Nov. 26, 1849-Nov. 30, 1944) was born in Procter Mill, a community in Logan County, Kentucky. He read law in the office of Judge Thomas Henry Hines and was elected City Attorney and served as Warren Circuit Court Commissioner and County Attorney of Warren County. Procter married Lila Pendleton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Pendleton of Upland, Pennsylvania, on November 9, 1876. Miss Pendleton was born in Russellville, Kentucky, on August 25, 1850. The Procters built one of the finest homes in Bowling Green at 1408 Chestnut Street and they were considered on of the city's outstanding families. |
