Aerial view of WKU campus. Western from above -- This aerial view of the beautiful campus of Western Kentucky University shows the southern end of the grounds where much of the recent development has taken place. At left is the 27-story Pearce-Ford Tower dormitory for men students, one of the tallest buildings in Kentucky. Behind the dormitory to the west are the athletics facilities, including Nick Denes Field (baseball); tennis courts; practice field; and the Academic-Athletic Buildings No. 1 and No. 2, which include the E.A. Diddle Arena and the L.T. Smith Stadium. At the right edge of the picture are the new College of Education, Academic Complex, and Dero Downing University Center. Other portions of the campus, not shown are situated mainly to the right (north), up the hill known as College Heights |
