On his jacket, only the bottom button is fastened which was a common way to wear a sack suit in order to increase fullness in the torso. Under his suit he is wearing a white shirt with a high, stiff collar and a butterfly style bow tie. He is also wearing leather oxfords, a straw boater hat with a cloth band, and one leather glove. He is holding the other glove in his hands. The woman is wearing a dress with an S silhouette, elbow length sleeves, and ruffles at the bust. She also has on black elbow length gloves and a bracelet, and she is holding a handkerchief in her hand. The man on the right is wearing a sack suit either unbuttoned or with only the bottom button fastened. He is also wearing a white shirt with a high stiff collar, a necktie, a felt Panama hat, and leather bulb-toe shoes.
