Mariner's Compass quilt in green, red, yellow, and pink with a white foundation. This relatively small quilt was made in blocks in a 3x4 pattern that are pieced from new solid and print fabrics and were set on-point. The backing was pieced from three strips of muslin. It is hand quilted at 7 to 8 stitches per inch in parallel, lines, crosshatch, and outline quilting. The quilting is uneven. It has a cotton batting with seeds, a double border, and a hand sewn binding. |
