  4. Julian Potter

    Photograph of Julian Potter; he was the son of a local banker, J. Whit Potter (for whom WKU’s Potter Hall is named) and Blanche Jamison. In 1923, at the young age of 36, Julian Potter was elected president of the Coal and Iron National Bank. He died of pneumonia, January 1, 1926, with typhoid fever. This hung in the office of the college Heights Foundation for many years.

    Cabinet card photograph of a children's play group with identified children: Julian Potter, Jessie Porter, Elsie Jones, Belle Coombs, Earmine Mayo, David Potter, Marion Hines, Burnet Wright, Will Jones, John Mayo and Owen Potter. The card is inscribed "to Julian with Cruist's love, April 18th, 1893." The card is also stamped in ink with J. Whit Potter, Bowling Green, Ky. The image may have been taken on College Street.
